In today's political climate, trans communities face increasing threats, like:

Restricted access to gender-affirming healthcare

Simple black outline of a house with two windows, a door, and a small cloud-shaped bush or rock beside it.

Housing and shelter discrimination based on gender identity

Legal barriers to accurate personal identifying documents

That's why this Coalition is vital. Trans communities are here to stay, and we deserve the space to honor our work together and wholeheartedly CELEBRATE.

The SOUL Coalition Inaugural Convening is a first-of-its-kind gathering bringing together transgender-led housing organizations from across the nation to strengthen collaboration, share promising practices, and build a collective vision for affirming, community-led housing. Through four days of connection, learning, and strategic planning, the convening will deepen partnerships, foster innovation, and establish a sustainable framework for advancing housing justice, collective advocacy, and mutual support for transgender communities nationwide.

Presented with Support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation

The SOUL Coalition is honored to receive support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) for our inaugural national convening. RWJF’s investment helps bring together transgender-led housing organizations from across the country to strengthen collaboration, share innovative housing solutions, and build collective strategies that advance housing justice and long-term community well-being.

We are grateful for RWJF’s commitment to supporting collaborative leadership and community-driven solutions that create more equitable opportunities for underserved communities. Their partnership is helping lay the foundation for a stronger national network of organizations working to expand access to safe, affirming, and sustainable housing.
